6.4/10

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Dubrovnik. The location is fantastic, right near the main square, making it easy to explore Zagreb. However, my room felt a bit outdated and the air conditioning issues were a letdown. The breakfast was decent but crowded, which took away from the enjoyment.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean but dated, with a need for renovations. Beds were comfortable and the soundproofing helped, but overall the decor felt tired.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly, but my experience was inconsistent. I faced issues like the air conditioning and inadequate assistance at times, which didn't help my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s location is its strongest point. It's just a minute's walk from the main tram hub and close to many attractions, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast spread was decent with many options. Unfortunately, it got overcrowded, which made the experience less enjoyable.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel offered decent facilities, the lack of in-room tea and coffee was surprising. Basic amenities felt insufficient for a four-star hotel.

6.8/10

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Dubrovnik. The central location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Zagreb and enjoy nearby dining options. However, I faced some noise issues during my stay, particularly from street sounds in the modern block and loud wedding music on the second visit. The breakfast was decent, but I noticed some items ran out quickly during busy times.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in two different rooms; one in the modern block which had quite a bit of street noise and another in the older part, which was more comfortable despite the noise from a wedding reception below.
Service
6.0
While most staff were lovely, I encountered two unfriendly front desk staff who were not very helpful with parking information upon arrival, which was frustrating.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location at Ban Josip Jelacic Square is unbeatable for accessing local attractions, restaurants, and shopping.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered a good variety, but the dining experience felt chaotic at times with items running low and slow service during busy periods.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel features accessible facilities and room configurations catering to different needs, although service at some dining areas was lacking.

My stay at Hotel Dubrovnik was quite enjoyable, highlighted by a central location and an excellent breakfast. However, the room felt dated and in need of some updates. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, making my experience more pleasant overall.

Rooms

The room was spacious but definitely showing signs of age. The heating issue was quickly resolved with a portable heater, but amenities felt quite average, particularly the small safe.

Breakfast was a highlight with a great variety of hot and cold dishes. I appreciated the generous portions and local specialties offered each morning.
Facilities

The hotel had a range of facilities, but I found the overall appearance a bit lackluster. While the cleanliness was commendable, some services like parking weren't clearly communicated.

6.6/10

Hotel Dubrovnik was a good experience overall, thanks to its bustling location and excellent breakfast options. However, my room felt a bit dated and the heating system had some issues that needed immediate attention.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious with a cozy bed, but the decor was definitely showing its age. The safe was too small for anything beyond my cellphone and a valet.
Service
10.0
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They even arranged a takeaway breakfast for my early departure, which was a lovely touch.
Location
8.0
Situated right at Ban Josip Jelacic Square, I found the access to tourist attractions very convenient. However, the nightlife noise could be a bother if your room overlooks the square.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was the highlight, featuring a vast selection of both hot and cold dishes. I just wished they had maintained the fruit platter better.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered essential facilities, including a laundry service, but the heating issue in my room was disappointing. A portable heater had to be provided.

I recently stayed at Hotel Dubrovnik and overall, my experience was quite enjoyable. The location is unbeatable, right at Ban Josip Jelacic Square, making it super convenient to explore the city. While the breakfast offered a great variety of dishes, it did tend to get busy, making it hard to find a table at times. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, although I did notice some noise from the plaza at night. Overall, it's a solid choice for a stay in Zagreb! 😊
